Dream Tech Academy offers one-to-one tutoring services to students in Kindergarten through grade 8. Tutoring is sometimes one of the few ways to help a child get beyond their area of struggle. Whether you need one time tutoring or ongoing services, we can help.
How it works:
We will have a free 20minute consultation to discuss your child's needs and areas of weaknesses. Then if you believe your child can benefit from our services, then we will schedule your child's first tutoring session. During this session, we will conduct an informal diagnostic of your child math or reading abilities, to see where the help is needed.
After this first session, you and your tutor will discuss recommended tutoring sessions, and schedule your child's tutoring sessions.
You will have the option to schedule sessions on the go or lock in your weekly sessions for up to a month in advance.
What our sessions look like:
It depends on what your child is working on. Typically, once we have our initial data on the student, we will create a plan of action for targeted skills. We will focus on those targeted skills for at least 30 minutes, which usually includes hands on activities. Next we will focus on what the student is currently working on in school. This could be homework assignments, test/quiz, or a pacing guide from your child's teacher. We usually spend about 20-30 minutes or so helping the student with skills that will directly impact school the next day.
How do you pay for services?
Services are paid for in advance or at the beginning of a tutoring session. Once a session has been booked, we will confirm the day and time then discussed preferred payment method. Parents can pay using cash, debit or credit card.
Do I have to sign a contract?
For services that are on going- yes. A contract basically lays out the agreement we have regarding services, days and times, and a commitment to show up for those appointments.
